In this lecture, Prof. Bec Strating will explore conflict prevention through both global and regional lenses, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia’s role in responding to geostrategic challenges. Drawing on historical case studies, the lecture will address ways to reduce risk, enhance transparency and build regional capacity for dialogue. Prof. Strating will also discuss different options for conflict prevention within ASEAN and beyond, and how these can contribute to preventing conflict.
